GoGeomatics Social Leader Profile: Joy Leimanis, Vancouver

OfficePicJoy Leimanis recently became a part of the GoGeomatics family as one of our group leaders for our Vancouver social, alongside Anderson Sandes. She jumped right into the role and is proving to be a valuable addition! While living in British Columbia, Joy is a GIS Specialist for McElhanney Consulting Services and has been working with them since January 2008.

Joy&TobyPrior to her current position, Joy was a GIS Analyst for both Eco-Industrial Solutions Ltd. and the Community Mapping Network. She began her post-secondary education at the University of Northern British Columbia where she completed her Bachelor of Environmental Studies in 2003. Aiming even higher, Joy graduated from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2006 with an Advanced Diploma in GIS.

GoGeomatics is very excited to have Joy as one of our Group Leaders. With her vast educational and work experiences within the field we know that she will continue to entice others in the industry to join in some great geomatics discussions in the Vancouver region!
