PCI Geomatics Releases GXL 2015

PCI Geomatics, a world leading developer of remote sensing and photogrammetric software and systems, announced today the release of its GeoImaging Accelerator (GXL) 2015 – the latest version of the company’s proven, high-performance, and scalable image processing solution.

GXL technology provides significant improvements in automation, speed and efficiency by optimizing and distributing automated workflows. GXL 2015 brings substantial improvements in color balancing along with an updated and intuitive quality assessment interface, JPS improvements for more flexible workflows, a new airphoto bundle adjustment algorithm, as well as new satellite sensor models to meet the growing requirements of the industry.

“With each new release of GXL, we like to bring something that will have a significant and positive impact for our users” said David Piekny, Product Marketing Manager at PCI Geomatics. “In addition to updated support for the latest sensors and platforms, the upgrades in functionality and output in this version of GXL are going to make a real operational difference for customers across the globe in terms of mosaic quality and production flexibility.”

The color balancing model in GXL 2015 uses an all-new bundle method for more consistent and seamless mosaics while the automatic desaturation mechanism intuitively reduces hot spots – often recognized as extreme peaks or oversaturation in images. In addition to these quality improvements, productivity and workflow improvements – designed to make GXL even faster – are also included.

“In GXL 2015, we’ve added the ability to link jobs using a simple interface so users can arrange the automated processes in the order they’d like.  This is in addition to improving the already robust quality assurance tools and updated email notification system,” said Piekny. “These upgrades are at the heart of what makes GXL such unique solution; automated workflows that deliver great mosaics with speed, efficiency, and accuracy.”

GXL 2015 is available for purchase starting today. For a full list of new features and functions, or for more information about GXL, visit www.pcigeomatics.com/GXL.
