John is an emerging geospational professional currently working with the Ministry of Forests in British Columbia as a GIS Mapping Technician. He completed his honours degree at Queen's University in Kingston. It was here that he first became familiar with Geographic Information Science and the systems used to apply it. He then expanded his GIS knowledge and skillset through applied studies with Ryerson University in Toronto (now TMU). Going forward, John hopes to leverage his combined passions for geospatial technology and clear writing to contribute to GoGeomatics Canada as a volunteer author. Outside of work, John can often be found hiking the trails around his new home in Kelowna with his partner and his puppy, Sampson.
