Tyler Mitchell
Tyler Mitchell is the author of Geospatial Power Tools (Locate Press, 2014) and editor of The Geospatial Desktop - Open Source GIS & Mapping - A perfect book for cross-training between desktop GIS and database technologies. He also authored the classic work Web Mapping Illustrated (O'Reilly, 2005), which guides users through building a simple web-based mapping product on freely available technology. As Sr Software Engineer in Actian Corporation's Innovation Lab he researches the latest big data management tools. He also helped launch and ran the organization OSGeo as Executive Director.
