Paul Heersink
Paul Heersink has been working in the geomatics field for the past 20 years but has loved maps for pretty much his entire life. After earning a B. A. in Psychology from the University of Alberta and working for 7 years in the field of social work, he decided to return to his first love and earned a post-graduate diploma in cartography from Fleming college. He worked first as a cartographer and cartographic team lead with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources before moving over to head the map production team at Rand McNally Canada, now Canadian Cartographic Corporation. He is now currently employed with Esri Canada as the Community Maps production manager. With his wife he has written a book called Maps and Mapping for Canadian Kids.
