Calgary Region Hackathon 2017

Brought to you by the Alberta Geomatics Group, Calgary Regional Partnership, DeltaGEO & SAIT 

The Calgary Region Hackathon 2017 is a three-day competition to create a mapping or software solution, such as an application or website, using Calgary Region Open Data. You will have the opportunity to pitch your product to a panel of judges, in addition to fellow Hackathon attendees, for a chance to win amazing prizes!

Date: Friday, November 17 to Sunday, November 19, 2017

Time: Friday – 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 am | Saturday – 10:00 am to 12 am | Sunday – 10:00 am to 8:00 pm

Location: Aldred Centre, SAIT Campus

Capacity: Space is limited to 200 participants (must be 18+)

Theme: “Why the Calgary Region?” Create maps, apps, and websites helping users understand and enjoy the abundant Calgary Region opportunities for recreation, industry, and healthy communities.

Prizes: $5000 for first place, $2000 for second and $1000 for third…and more!

Teams: Teams must be between two and six people. You can register for the event as a team or you can come solo and join an existing team or form a new one.
