University of Alberta “Map Library” Tour – April Meetup

The Edmonton GoGeomatics Group has the honour of having Larry Laliberte, keeper of the treasures of the WCW Collection ,to give a tour to a small group of the wonderful maps held by the University of Alberta.
The William C. Wonders Map Collection, is one of the largest collections of cartographic materials in Canada. As part of the Science & Technology Library (Cameron), the collection includes maps, atlases, globes, aerial photographs and other cartographic materials. The collection contains maps for all parts of the world, and has strengths in Western and Northern Canada, Poland, Germany, France, and archival collections for Ukraine, British Isles, and Eastern Europe.

With the small confines of Larry’s Library, we will accepting registration to only 10 members. If you have had the pleasure of experiencing Larry’s passion for the collection, please refrain from registering this year.
If the tour is a popular event, I will ask Larry if he is willing to increase the tours we can take per year.
