DESCRIPTION:Geospatial World Forum 2021 is back with a mission to re-connect the supply and demand of geospatial capabilities across economic sectors through solution-based thematic programs\, high-level roundtable meetings\, workshops\, trainings and various after-hours social functions. \nGWF 2021 will be hosted in a unique conference venue located on the magnificently beautiful national heritage site at the Amsterdam North Sea Canal. The buildings of Taets are part of the industrial heritage on the Hembrug terrain\, a monumental industrial terrain dating from 1897. The terrain has grown into a creative hotbed\, to which craftsmanship and sustainability are central. On the Hembrug terrain\, you can eat and drink\, shop\, visit a museum or take a look at the craftsmen studios. We look forward to hosting you in this spectacular industrial and historic venue!

DESCRIPTION:This half-day workshop cuts through the theory and fluff to present\, in practical terms\, the essential practices for successful GIS project planning and management. Its intent is to provide project managers\, teams\, and stakeholders with the key actions methods\, and tools to launch and execute successful projects –delivering results on time and on budget providing valuable deliverables to the customers and user community. It is applicable to all types of GIS projects and covers the following topics: \n· Business Needs and Strategic Foundation for Projects \n· Choosing and prioritizing projects \n· Defining scope\, purpose\, context \n· Workplan preparation \n· Estimating/assigning resources \n· Project tracking\, status reporting\, and communications \n· Procurement for GIS projects \n· Project quality management \n· Project closure \nIf you are already a seasoned project manager\, this workshop will confirm practices you are already applying (or should be applying) and augment your PM toolbox with some new ideas and methods.
