SUMMARY:2022 Indigenous Mapping Workshop - Edmonton
DESCRIPTION:After the success of the second virtual Indigenous Mapping Workshop\, we are very excited to announce the launch of 2022IMW: Alberta. Happening in November 2022\, this will be our first hybrid event with programming both online and in-person. After two years of virtual events\, this year’s Indigenous Mapping Workshop will be focused on building connections and reinstating relationships through in-person engagements. The safety of our attendees is our highest priority\, and all local health and safety protocols will be followed. For anyone unable to attend in-person\, IMW programming will also be available online. Our goal is to give Indigenous peoples across Turtle Island the tools and training they need to share their stories.  \nWhat is the Indigenous Mapping Collective?\nThe Virtual Collective is a virtual platform. The Collective allows Indigenous mappers to connect with each other and have premier access to mapping resources and at all times.
