DESCRIPTION:We will begin with a presentation by Jeff Petillion at 5:30 pm on Tuesday March 19th in Meeting Room 3 (downstairs near children’s area) of the Okanagan Regional Library. \nThe topic is: \nWhat’s new for Imagery in ArcGIS Pro 3.2 \nPlease join Jeff Petillion\, Product Specialist for Imagery at Esri Canada as he covers new imagery capabilities that have been added to the latest version of ArcGIS Pro\, 3.2. Topics will include; (1) how to connect to open-source cloud imagery datasets in ArcGIS Pro using the new STAC UI function. (2) How to manage\, visualize\, and share imagery not traditionally seen in GIS using the new oriented imagery capability. (3) How to detect any object using user specified text prompts through the new Text SAM Pre-trained Deep Learning Model.\nJeff is also interested in learning how your organization is using imagery in ArcGIS and will be available for questions on best practices and workflows for imagery management and analysis in ArcGIS Pro\, Online\, and Enterprise. \nAfter this\, we will head over to The Curious Artistry & Alchemy Cafe\, 1423 Ellis St. at 6:30 to enjoy food and drinks over chatting. Reservation is under Dianne. \nGoGeomatics is a networking event to welcome students\, professionals\, and academics in the field of geomatics in a casual environment. \nCome out and have some drinks with other students\, peers and professionals. DESCRIPTION:Hello Everyone! GoGeomatics is having our March Victoria GoGeomatics Meetup\, where we can network and talk all things Surveying\, GIS\, geomatics and geography! Let’s ring in the new year with some drinks and geo related discussion. \nThis event will take place at the Bent mast in one of the rooms upstairs. Come on up or ask the hostess for the GoGeomatics reservation. Come alone or with a friend. These events are free to attend. You will meet a mix of professionals.\, managers\, students and job seekers all the local Victoria community. \nIf you are interested in GIS\, geospatial\, surveying\, geomatics\, remote sensing\, data\, engineering\, BIM\, digital twins\, mobile mapping\, or geography in general this is the free networking group for you. \nYou will meet others who are interested in the awesomeness of GEO so if you like to talk about the tech and sector its a great evening over drinks. \nThe number of people allowed to attend is not a hard cap. If you want to come by and the total number of guests has already been hit it’s not a problem! \nHope to see you there! \nP.S We have started having presentations at these events\, so if you have any interest in presenting\, send Ken or myself a message and we’ll try and work something out. \nP.P.S The event is free to attend\, however food and drinks is an additional cost to the guests.
