She holds a PhD in Geography from Oregon State University and presents internationally on mapping and GIS. She is the lead author of Map Use\, 9th edition (Spring 2026)\, a former president of the Cartography and Geographic Information Society\, and currently serves with the International Cartographic Association as U.S. lead delegate and Chair of the Ethics in Cartography Commission. \nJulie — Cartographer & Mapping ConsultantSince 2013\, Julie has worked with clients around the world creating maps that help people explore places and understand stories.
