DESCRIPTION:GoGeomatics is heading to the valley again! We are going to be attending COGS in Lawrencetown for a bit of fun. We will be holding our Third social in the Annapolis Valley at the Lunn’s Mill Beer Company (https://www.lunnsmill.beer/) in Lawrencetown. \nFinger foods will be available! So come out and share a pint. Last year we had 40-50 participants to this fun free event. \nAll students\, faculty\, graduates and geomatics enthusiasts are welcome to attend our free fun social networking events. DESCRIPTION:GoGeomatics is very excited to have a fantastic speaker and world class expert on location technology join us for our October social. Bilyana Anicic will be speaking to the group and sharing her expereince. \nBilyana is an Enterprise Architect\, she has led major digital transformation initiatives\, including Government of Canada’s Federal Geospatial Platform and Open Government – Open Maps. Bilyana is presently working as Enterprise Architect and IM Lead on Canada’s Privy Council Office (PCO) IM-IT Modernization initiative and serves on the Board of Directors of The Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI). \nJoin us for this fun free networking event and talk where we share a drink and talk about spatial tech. \nBilyana’s talk will focus on Location technology. Location Intelligence has become an integral part of our world. We use it daily; from simply getting from point A to point B using our phones to show fastest routes through traffic\, to complex applications in retail\, real estate\, health\, defence\, environment\, infrastructure planning\, autonomous vehicles\, smart cities and more. \nThis talk explores how Location Intelligence goes beyond the dots on a map by giving us new\, accessible and actionable insights. DESCRIPTION:GoGeomatics is a geospatial meet-up group that aims to create a positive space for discussing everything related to Geography. The idea is to network with professionals and students in the geomatics industry and talk about job prospects\, major projects involved\, GIS\, surveying\, geomatics engineering\, remote sensing\, technology\, education and more in a casual atmosphere.We meet up every third Thursday of the month between September and May. These socials are free\, fun\, and open to everyone from all areas of geomatics. We strive to connect people in the geomatics industry who share similar interests and pursuits in Edmonton and surrounding communities.In this group\, you will meet a variety of professionals\, students\, business owners\, entrepreneurs\, and recruiters.
