SUMMARY:SSSI/OGC Webinar Series: Modernizing the location standards baseline - OGC APIs
DESCRIPTION:This event is part of a series of webinars in collaboration with Australia’s Surveying & Spatial Sciences Institute (SSSI) \nIn this session\, OGC’s head of standards\, Scott Simmons\, will share how OGC is evolving its standards baseline for accessing geospatial/location information via the OGC APIs. The OGC API family of standards is being developed to make it easy to provide geospatial data to the web. They build on the OGC Web Service standards (WMS\, WFS\, WCS\, WPS\, etc) but define resource-centric APIs that take advantage of modern web development practices. \nIf you have an application or a use case that requires integration of geospatial/location information\, this is your opportunity to learn about the latest\, simplest and most interoperable way to do that! \n  \nhttps://www.ogc.org/otherevents/sssiogc-webinar-series-modernizing-location-standards-baseline-ogc-apis

He has been working in ecology for over 20 years.\n\nTopic: Imagery Interpretation & TEM\n\n\n\n\nThis workshop is suitable for consultants\, planners\, environmental/conservation groups\, government representatives\, First Nations\, environmental educators\, and engaged community members. Participants are invited to join the workshop with a wetland project or program that they wish to implement in their community and/or have a high propensity to initiate a project/program in the future.   \nThis experience will also provide you access to a network of individuals who will help you successfully complete your local conservation project(s). You will leave with the skills\, support\, and confidence you need to make a difference in the world of wetland conservation. SUMMARY:Building the Innovation Economy: Emerging Technology and Start-Ups
DESCRIPTION:With a pandemic creating unprecedented economic uncertainty across planet earth\, coupled with the building and infrastructure industry’s pre-existing productivity challenges\, it is clear that our industry will need to adapt and innovate to survive. Design and construction technology has great potential to address the challenges that lay ahead; the pandemic has only accelerated the inevitable shift from traditional technologies and methods to data rich platforms and systems that drive productivity. Emerging technologies are disrupting traditional methods\, helping to reduce environmental impact\, contributing to the bottomline and are supporting circular processes leading to a new Innovation economy. This session will showcase the most innovative Start-ups\, entrepreneurs and how these innovators are delivering game-changing solutions for the building and infrastructure industry and changing how we will do business in the future. \nSign up for updates on the event for your ticket https://www.canbim.com/events/toronto20
