SUMMARY:BeSpatial Webinar: Open Data: Driving Economic Development
DESCRIPTION:BeSpatial Northern Webinar –  Open Data: Driving Economic Development\nCRIBE has continued to leverage open and public data to deliver key information as part of our mandate. With a growing global bioeconomy\, we are bringing collaborative solutions to drive innovation and investment. In this webinar we would like to show you how! \nThrough the launch of the ForestEDGE this past year we are working hard to bring people together from around the world to solve crucial issues for investment that works with the environment.  Working with regional partners to create toolsets for learning\, sharing and problem solving\, we’re looking to bring a human touch and create a narrative to help make better decisions.  Collaborative networks hosted through our NextFor initiative have helped bring together companies from various sectors to rethink how we do business\, grow the forest bioeconomy\, and reach new markets. The tools and principals outlined in this webinar are transferable to whatever sector you work in\, and we are excited to bring this to you! \nPresenter:  Sarah Benčić

SUMMARY:Introduction to Remote Sensing Analysis Using QGIS
DESCRIPTION:Intro to Remote Sensing Analysis Using QGIS\nNov 29\n$300\n\n\n\nGeoTechTraining.com has arranged the latest geo technology trends and techniques training led by leading industry experts in a safe and convenient online platform.  \nIntroduction to Remote Sensing Analysis Using QGIS \nLearn how to interpret and analyze satellite imagery using QGIS with Eric Purdie. Eric is a GIS instructor at Algonquin College. \nParticipants will learn how to interpret and analyze satellite imagery using QGIS.  The instructor will guide participants through each learning goal step-by-step live online. This course uses datasets based on real-world GIS projects and QGIS. Students will gain an understanding of how to leverage QGIS open-source analysis tools to ask and answer questions to solve real world issues. \nTopics covered: Image processing (e.g. Error correction and projection)\, analysis (e.g. NDVI\, Tasseled Cap Transformation\, and Supervised Classification using AI/ML)\, and terrain analysis (e.g. Creating DSM’s & DTM’s with LiDAR datasets). \nRead a full description of this seminar before registering here.
