DESCRIPTION:We will be having a presentation and open discussion led by Mark Laudon of the District of Lake Country called “The Who\, What\, Why and How of Open Street Map” in Meeting Room 3 of the library. \nGeneral topic outline: \n\nWhat is OpenStreetMap?\nWho uses OpenStreetMap?\nWhy OpenStreetMap?\nHow can I contribute to OpenStreetMap?\n\nFrom here\, we have a 6:45 reservation at BNA Brewing\, 1250 Ellis St. Reservation name is under Dianne or GoGeomatics. If you can’t make the library part\, you’re still welcome to join for the pub social. \nGoGeomatics is a networking event to welcome students\, professionals\, and academics in the field of geomatics in a casual environment.\nCome out and have some drinks with other students\, peers and professionals. This group is open to everyone in any geomatics-related field–GIS\, surveying\, remote sensing\, photogrammetry\, CAD\, and more.

DESCRIPTION:Hi everyone! GoGeomatics is having our March Meetup\, where we can network and talk all things Surveying\, GIS\, geomatics and geography! \nThis event will take place at the Swan’s pub. Come by and ask the hostess for the GoGeomatics reservation (or Steve). Come alone or with a friend. These events are free to attend. You will meet a mix of professionals\, managers\, students and job seekers in the local Victoria community. \nIf you are interested in GIS\, surveying\, geomatics\, remote sensing\, data engineering\, BIM\, digital twins\, mobile mapping\, or geography in general this is the free networking group for you! \nThe number of people allowed to attend is not a hard cap. If you want to come by and the total number of guests has already been hit it’s not a problem! \nHope to see you there! \nP.S We have started having presentations at these events\, so if you have any interest in presenting\, send me a message and we’ll try and work something out. \nP.P.S The event is free to attend\, however food and drinks are an additional cost to the guests.
