Some of the developments\, such as Artificial Intelligence and Digital Twins represent a quantum leap forward in the way we access\, interact and use information. \nTo stay relevant in the field\, geospatial and information professionals should “BePrepared”. \nThey should be aware of how these technological developments and trends can be applied to their work\, continually learn new skills and adapt to the ever-changing work environment. \nGeospatial plays a crucial role in many industries and is also impacted by technological breakthroughs that are affecting designing and creating business solutions. Some of the skills the geospatial industry requires are: \n\nCreative systems thinking\nAnalytical skills\nBig Data\, Digital Twins and Artificial Intelligence\nUnderstanding of ethical and privacy concerns\nService orientation and customer service\nRemote Work and Collaboration\n\nThe 2024 Annual General Meeting virtual conference BePrepared (May 1st and 2nd\, 2024) will provide an opportunity for geospatial and information professionals to showcase their achievements\, and best practices and discuss challenges in preparing for and adapting to the predicted and unpredicted changes in future. \n

You will meet a mix of professionals.\, managers\, students and job seekers all the local Victoria community. \nIf you are interested in GIS\, geospatial\, surveying\, geomatics\, remote sensing\, data\, engineering\, BIM\, digital twins\, mobile mapping\, or geography in general this is the free networking group for you. \nYou will meet others who are interested in the awesomeness of GEO so if you like to talk about the tech and sector its a great evening over drinks. \nThe number of people allowed to attend is not a hard cap.
