GoGeomatics Canada is thrilled to announce the 4th annual series of coast-to-coast Back to School Socials (BTSS) taking place this September. For the past four years it has been the generous support of the Canadian geospatial community that has allowed us to host these events.

Our September events kick off the social season for what has quickly become Canada’s largest and most popular geospatial networking group.  It is where we come together as a sector and welcome new and returning students to the fold. This year will be the most special of all our events, as we are celebrating 150 years of Canada together.

Last year we broke our previous record and had over 400 participants at events across Canada. Our goal is to keep breaking the previous year’s record and with your help we can do that. Please consider being a national or city level sponsor, or sponsor our 150 year anniversary of Canada t-shirts.

The 2017 Back to School Socials are taking place against the back drop of Canada’s 150th anniversary celebrations. We are creating a special t-shirt for 2017-2018 season commemorating this milestone for the Canadian geomatics community. We will be giving away 500 of these t-shirts across Canada, if we can get your support.

Geomatics has always been a big part of Canada’s history. We are asking you to consider supporting our socials for the 2017-2018 season by becoming a national or city level sponsor. For our Back to School Socials your sponsorship covers the cost of the event including the planning, promotion, food, t-shirts, and in some cases the hosting.

The value of your support continues through the social season as we host events from September to May. Contact me, Jonathan Murphy (info<at>gogeomatics.ca) to discuss the benefits of sponsorship for your organization. Not only re you helping support our sector but we will be helping you. Find out how we do that.

GoGeomatics Canada recognizes the generous support of our returning sponsors and new sponsors. Visit our Meetup Groups page for all the details on individual groups and how you can participate in these events.
