As an Associate GIS Analyst, you’ll embark on an immersive learning journey, gaining hands-on experience in customer support, professional services, training, Community Maps, strategic projects and more. Paired with a mentor, you’ll navigate our dynamic GIS landscape, laying the foundation for your next step toward a fulfilling career with Esri Canada.
Throughout the program, we’ll consider your skills, career interests, and Esri Canada’s business needs, working closely with you to transition into another GIS-focused role within 24 months.

A Day in the Life of an Associate GIS Analyst at Esri Canada:
- As an Associate GIS Analyst, you will engage with various teams across the company to gain well-rounded experience. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with the Manager, Support Enablement, on an ongoing basis to help identify your skill gaps and areas of personal development.
- Partner with our customers and colleagues to effectively resolve technical issues with Esri products through phone, email and remote sessions while demonstrating a sense of urgency and professionalism.
- Work on professional services projects by completing assigned tasks on time as directed by a project manager or technical lead.
- Proactively pursue self-instruction on all relevant technical topics whenever possible.
- Obtain an Esri Technical Certification.
- Prepare for and co-deliver Esri instructor-led courses.
- Contribute to proactive customer support efforts such as blog posts, webinars, instructional videos, and customer onboarding.
- Assist with strategic projects to help promote Esri Canada and Esri technology to the public.
- Assist in preparing and presenting webinars, seminars and demos.
What you bring to the team:
- 0 to 3 years of professional experience in GIS
- University/College degree or diploma in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, or related discipline
- Passion for GIS and Esri technology.
- Eagerness to build a long-term career with Esri Canada.
- Dedication to sharing GIS knowledge and expertise with others.
- Candidates who are adaptable and flexible, capable of adjusting to changing priorities and contributing effectively in various situations.
- Resourcefulness and adept problem-solving skills, even where there is no clear path to a solution.

A day in the life of an Esri Canada Associate GIS Analyst:
- As an Associate GIS Analyst, you will work with different teams within the company to gain a well-rounded experience. Your responsibilities include:
- Work with the Technical Support Manager to identify your skill gaps and areas for personal development.
- Partner with our customers and colleagues to effectively resolve technical issues related to Esri products via telephone, email, and virtual sessions, while demonstrating promptness and professionalism.
- Participate in professional services projects and complete tasks assigned by the project manager or technical director within the prescribed timeframes.
- Proactively ensure that self-study periods are provided on all relevant topics, where possible.
- Obtain an Esri technical certification.
- Prepare and collaboratively deliver Esri lecture courses.
- Perform various proactive customer support activities, such as creating blog posts, webinars or educational videos or ensuring customer onboarding.
- Participate in strategic projects aimed at promoting Esri Canada and Esri technology to the public.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of webinars, seminars and demonstrations.
What you bring to the team:
- 0 to 3 years of professional experience in the field of GIS.
- University or college degree in GIS, computer science, geography or a related discipline.
- Passion for GIS technologies, especially those from Esri.
