What This Position Is All About:

The ETL / Integration Developer, is responsible for ETL program design, coding, unit testing, integration testing and implementation of ETL programs, primarily using Informatica PowerCenter & BDE / Big Data technologies(Sqoop, Hive) and Spark programming(Scala/Python/Java).

You Also Have:

  • A minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in ETL Development; including hands on experience with Sqoop, Spark and Hive tools
  • Strong understanding of ETL Development best practices,
  • Strong understanding of Database Concepts, Performance Tuning in SQL and Informatica.
  • You have strong technical Skills and have experience working with Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica BDE or Streamsets, Strong SQL, Hadoop Programming  Mainframe (JCL/ESP), Teradata Experience.
  • Ability to develop complex mappings and workflows in accordance with requirements.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.

As the ETL / Integration Developer, You Will:

  • Perform design and development of ETL processes to support project requirements.
  • Develop Informatica mappings, SQL/stored procedures as well as data maps for PowerExchange, or Unix shell scripts.
  • Develop Sqoop scripts to extract data to/from RDBMS to Hadoop.
  • Develop Hive tables and queries.
  • Develop Spark jobs in (Scala/Python/Java) in order to stream / publish or consume data from Hadoop.
  • Perform unit testing, QA, and work with business partners to resolve any issues discovered during UAT.
  • Conduct peer-review of mappings and workflows when required.
  • Maintain development and test data environments by populating the data based on project requirements.
  • Work with production control and operations as needed to promote mappings/workflows, implement schedules and resolve the issues.
  • Review ETL performance and conducts performance tuning as required on mappings / workflows or SQL.
  • Maintain all applicable documentation pertaining to specific SDLC phases
  • You have a proven and quantifiable track-record of success in delivering results within a large complex organization.
  • You have the ability to quickly assess a new environment and develop solutions that support the business strategy, critical objectives, and cultural norms.
  • You are creative with a strategic mindset along with the ability to turn concepts into action.
