Blue Star Gold Corp. (Blue Star), based out of Vancouver, BC., owns the Ulu Gold Project (Ulu) in the
Kitikmeot Region of Nunavut. Ulu is contiguous with the Hood River Gold Project as well as the Roma
project; all field activities are based out of the Ulu camp and are collectively referred to as Ulu.

Ulu camp and the exploration projects are remote sites accessible by air via Yellowknife NT and operated
seasonally from June – October with many of the activities undertaken on Inuit Owned Land. Ulu was
originally developed in the 1990s as a satellite deposit for an operating mine and accordingly has
infrastructure including permanent roads, an airstrip, infrastructure pads, underground development
(closed), a heavy equipment fleet, an esker quarry, bulk and drummed fuel storage and a soft-walled camp
for up to 40 persons.

Blue Star holds all valid required authorizations to execute the 2023 program scope, which includes:
routine camp operation and maintenance, exploration, progressive reclamation of legacy mine site
infrastructure and waste including non-hazardous landfilling, contaminated soil handling, quarrying,
waste rock and ore characterization, water and waste management.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Geologist, or other designated authority, the Core Logging and Mapping Geologist
will spend approximately an equal amount of time logging core and conducting geological mapping and
prospecting. Work involves travel in helicopters, small-fixed wing airplanes, light duty trucks and on foot.
Work areas are primarily outdoors where conditions, including weather and wildlife, can be harsh and
unpredictable.

Work occurs on a rotational schedule, such as 4 weeks on/2 weeks off. Workdays are 10 hours long. The
expected duration of the contract is from early June to mid-September.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Logging oriented diamond drill core using Geospark logging software, tracking drillholes using
Leapfrog, writing reports and summaries and communicating results;
• Maintaining workflow in the core shack including supporting and supervising geotechnicians and
core cutters;
• Conducting routine inspections of the drill rigs and supporting and directing drill crews;
• Acting as an assistant mapping geologist, or, when appropriate, as a lead mapping geologist on
the Ulu and Hood River properties to conduct geological mapping and to assess and evaluate
surface showings;
• Participating in field work including collecting, documenting and analyzing rock, channel and till
samples;
• Participating in and being engaged in safety meetings and general safety on site;
• Assisting the exploration team and camp management team with other duties where required.

Experience, Training and Skills
The following experience, training and skills are required:
• B.Sc. in Geology or related field;
• Technical experience core logging and/or conducting geological mapping (a university field school
is applicable);
• Exposure to logging and drill hole tracking software and protocols;
• Experience working with drillers and at drill sites;
• Competent with Microsoft Office;
• Valid BC Occupational First Aid Level 1;
• Diligent in documentation, data and file management;
• Collaborative in planning and problem solving;
• Able to work independently and responsibly with limited direct oversight;
• Thorough and detail-oriented.

The following experience, training and skills are beneficial:
• Experience in remote, northern, isolated areas and/or extreme situations;
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
