Geomatics EIT or Engineer

Overview

OGL Engineering is looking for a highly motivated candidate to join a team of young, vibrant engineers performing geomatics engineering services, including aerial photogrammetry and LiDAR data acquisition and data processing. This is an office position, with responsibilities including GNSS, LiDAR and photogrammetry processing, analysis and reporting.

Detailed Description

1. GNSS Processing

• Process GNSS and IMU data, as required, to an engineering standard,
• troubleshoot errors,
• generate and analyze reports, and
• perform quality assurance and quality control.

2. LiDAR Processing

• Process LiDAR data as required, to an engineering standard
• troubleshoot errors,
• generate and analyze reports, and
• perform quality assurance and quality control.

3. Photogrammetry Processing

• Process digital aerial photogrammetry data as required, to an engineering standard
• troubleshoot errors,
• generate and analyze reports, and
• perform quality assurance and quality control.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Geomatics Engineering or equivalent.
• Member in good standing with APEGA or equivalent (EIT or P.Eng.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well both individually and as part of a team.
• Experience with programming languages including Python, Java, HTML, C++ or C#.

Assets

• Experience with remote sensing technology including photogrammetry and/or LiDAR.
• Experience with reality capture, 3D modelling, 3D visualization technology and software.
• Experience with GIS, database and web mapping applications.
