Nominations for the World Geospatial Industry Council (WGIC) Trailblazer Awards are now open.

The WGIC has two awards to recognize and celebrate those individuals and companies working for the geospatial ecosystem. The awards are focused on innovations and experiences that create solutions with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

The WGIC DEI Trailblazer Award for Individual Champion recognizes professionals dedicated to the DEI cause. It is for those who lead with a “holistic lens” of DEI and demonstrate commitment to creating and advancing a broader knowledge and awareness of DEI. Self-nominations are welcome. WGIC DEI Trailblazer Award for Corporate Impacts recognizes geospatial companies or organizations using diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. The awards also recognize company-wide initiatives that promote the cause. This year, nominations are open only to WGIC member companies.

August 15, 2022, is the last date for submission of nominations. Winners will be announced on September 20, 2022. At INTERGEO 2022, in Essen, Germany on October 20, 2022, the Trailblazer awards will be presented.
