Calgary Geomatics Community Gears Up for Expo 2025 with Special Meetups

As the GoGeomatics Expo 2025 approaches (November 3–5, Calgary, Alberta), the local community is already buzzing with activity. The Calgary GoGeomatics Meetup Group has put together a series of special events to engage the local community and build momentum around the Expo. These gatherings give professionals, students, and industry leaders additional opportunities to connect, collaborate, and celebrate Canada’s geomatics sector.

Canadian Geomatics and Geospatial Advisory Forum

When: November 3, 2025, 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm
Where: The Big Four Roadhouse, Calgary

The second Canadian Geomatics and Geospatial Advisory Forum kicks off the Expo with a free, open forum bringing together voices from across government, academia, industry, and the public. Participants will dive into three big themes shaping the sector: national geospatial policy, procurement and partnerships, and workforce development. It’s an inclusive, vendor-neutral discussion designed to surface challenges, share perspectives, and shape the future of Canada’s geospatial ecosystem.

2025 Expo Kickoff Social: Calgary Geomatics Community Night

What better way to launch the Expo than with a community celebration? The Expo Kickoff Social is a chance for geomatics professionals and students to come together, reconnect with peers, and meet new faces before three full days of Expo programming begin.
