Coming Soon: A New Canadian Surveyors Book
Calling all surveyors! The Association of Canada Lands Surveyors (ACLS) needs your help to finalize the production of their first book on the Canada Land Surveyors’ (CLS) profession: A Sense of Where You Are.
About A Sense of Where You Are
Written by Charles (Charlie) Wilkins, this book is a collection of stories told by the surveyors themselves or the stories that Charlie shares from his interviews and travels with them. The book will include spectacular images from the lands and waters where Canada Lands Surveyors do their work. The reader will be able to experience the beauty of our country, our National Parks, hinterland and ocean spaces that they may not have to chance to experience in person. The reader will learn about the work of land surveyors like they’ve never before.
How you can help
The ACLS is in need of photographs for the book. Please send in high resolution images of CLS’s in the field, especially those from your early years in the profession. You may send in photos via email (communications@acls-aatc.ca) or by mail to the ACLS office (900 Dynes Rd Suite 100 E, Ottawa, ON K2C 3L6). Any hardcopies mailed in will be scanned and mailed back to you.
They are also in need of donations to finalize the book. Your financial contributions are appreciated and will be recognized in the book. If you have not already, please consider being part of the project through a donation. Email ACLS (communications@acls-aatc.ca) to learn how you can contribute.
