About the Event:
Right after the COGS Panel Discussion: The Future of Canada’s Geomatics Sector, join GoGeomatics Canada, the CIG Nova Scotia Chapter, and COGS instructors for a special “Back to School” networking night at The Capitol Pub in Middleton. This relaxed evening will bring together students, faculty, professionals, and the wider geomatics community for informal networking and conversation.
Alongside COGS faculty and panelists, you’ll also meet scientists from the Applied Geomatics Research Group (AGRG), who are advancing applied research in geospatial technologies.
We’re also pleased to share that two prominent COGS alumni will be present:
Ted Mackinnon, Senior Geomatics Technologist with Natural Resources Canada and Past President of the Canadian Cartographic Association. Ted has been a leader in promoting cartography and geomatics across Canada. Connect with Ted on Linkedin.
Jonathan Murphy, Founder of GoGeomatics Canada and organizer of national geospatial conferences like GeoIgnite and the GoGeomatics Expo. Jonathan has built the largest professional geomatics community in Canada. Connect with Jon on Linkedin.
