Kingston: Last GG social of the season! Join us

May 22 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

This month at the April Kingston GoGeomatics Social, we will be having Valerie Freemantle from Queen’s University.

Valerie has a Bsc. ENVS (University of Guelph, 2015) and is currently is an MSc. candidate at Queen’s University in the Department of Geography and Planning. For her thesis, she is investigating vegetation change in the High Arctic using remote sensing.

She will be describing how optical high resolution satellite imagery and field data can be used to track vegetation changes through time. In addition, she will be sharing some stories about Arctic fieldwork.

We’ll be having trivia afterwards! Join us for a fun night!

The Kingston GoGeomatics Group meets every month to talk about GIS, remote sensing surveying, technology, education, training, jobs, and much much more! We welcome everyone in all areas of geomatics and look forward to seeing you there!

Please RSVP to let us know you’re attending.
