Announcing GeoIgnite 2025 Keynote Speakers and Themes
Ottawa, May 12-14, 2025

GeoIgnite is proud to announce its 6th annual conference, Canada’s premier national geospatial leadership event. Set in the heart of Ottawa from May 12-14, 2025, this year’s GeoIgnite will feature keynote sessions, workshops, a vibrant tradeshow, and networking activities designed to bring together leaders and innovators from across the geospatial community.

GeoIgnite 2025 is focused on three central themes: GEOINT & Operations, Hydrospatial, and Geomatics for the Public Good. Our keynote speakers represent global thought leaders in these areas, each offering unique insights into the future of geospatial technology.

We are further developing the conference programs and confirming keynote speakers and presentations.

Manon LarocqueManon Larocque: Pioneering Hydrospatial Innovation

Program Track: Hydrospatial & Geomatics for the Public Good.

Manon Larocque, Director General of the Canadian Hydrographic Service within Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), has been a driving force behind advancing hydrospatial and geospatial capabilities in Canada. In addition to her leadership at DFO, her work with the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) has contributed to critical Earth observation and satellite initiatives. While the subject of her keynote for GeoIgnite 2025 is still to be determined, her deep expertise in marine and space-based geospatial technologies promises to bring valuable insights to the event.

KEithKeith J. Masback: Shaping the Future of Geospatial Intelligence

Program Track: GEOINT & Operations

Keith J. Masback has held some of the most influential positions in geospatial intelligence, including Senior Executive at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and CEO of the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF). He also led the U.S. Army’s Imagery Intelligence and Analysis Division, shaping the future of GEOINT and driving innovation across the defense and commercial sectors.

NadineNadine Alameh: Leading Innovation in Geospatial Science

Program Track: Geomatics for the Public Good

Dr. Nadine Alameh, Executive Director of the Taylor Geospatial Institute, will explore the transformative power of geospatial science in addressing global challenges such as climate change, health, and security.

AlexAlexander Verbeek: Bridging Climate Change and Global Security

Program Track: Geomatics for the Public Good

Alexander Verbeek, Policy Director at the Environment and Development Resource Centre, will present a keynote that bridges the critical issues of climate change and global security. His insights will illuminate how geospatial technology can drive sustainability and resilience in the face of environmental challenges.
