In Pictures: Edmonton and Vancouver May Socials

My week-long Western Canada tour has come to an end after two more incredible social events in Edmonton and Vancouver. As you’ll see from the photos below, we had a great time getting together to chat about geomatics, enjoy a pint, and meet some new people. Even the rainy Vancouver weather couldn’t dampen the mood!

I’m grateful to have met some new, passionate people in the geomatics community out here, and well as reconnect with some familiar faces. This was our first Edmonton social, and I’m happy to announce that we’re going to continue hosting monthly socials in Edmonton. Stay tuned for more information! We’ll be posting updates as they come.

We would like to thank the GoGeomatics group leaders for helping to make these events successful, and we would also like to welcome our newest leaders, Kirsti Oja in Edmonton and Marc Thorup in Vancouver. We’ll be posting their profiles here on the magazine soon. To stay up-to-date on our future socials, join our Meetup groups for Edmonton and Vancouver. GoGeomatics socials are always fun and always free. Click here for the dates of all our Canada-wide socials.
