The XXV Congress of the ISPRS will take place in Toronto 4-11 July 2026. Hosted by the Canadian Remote Sensing Society – Société canadienne de télédétection (CRSS-SCT), this event represents the culmination of the four-year ISPRS cycle and will be held jointly with the 47th Canadian Symposium of Remote Sensing. It also marks the return of the ISPRS Congress to Canada after 54 years.
The Congress brings together researchers, government, industry, NGOs as well as students and young professionals to spark ideas and foster new collaborations. Join us to shape an inspiring week in Toronto while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of downtown Toronto in July!
The event will feature international experts presenting their latest research in photogrammetry, remote sensing and spatial information sciences. Attendees will be privy to leading-edge developments in artificial intelligence and machine learning, sensor fusion, autonomous sensing systems, digital construction, digital twins, health analytics, and application domains such as agriculture, forestry, disaster management, climate change, environmental monitoring and many more. Under the theme “From Imagery to Understanding”, the rich program will feature inspiring keynote presentations given by internationally renowned speakers, scientific presentations of the latest research developments and instructive tutorials. With a strong focus on students and emerging professionals, the Youth Forum will showcase the leaders of tomorrow.
Highly engaged sponsors and exhibitors are essential for a successful Congress, so the Exhibition will be the centre of activities to maximize exhibitor and sponsor visibility and facilitate networking. So far, 40 exhibitors are already confirmed. The Applied Presentation Sessions will showcase technological innovations, novel project initiatives, or applied methodologies within the ISPRS and CRSS-SCT fields. Industry partners will demonstrate new, state-of-the-art technologies in Technology and Lightning Sessions. Designed to engage participants from all sectors, Forum Sessions explore the impact of innovations and the role of the geospatial community in shaping the future.
The science and technology showcased at the Congress underpins much of the world’s economic and environmental activities – but all too often the rest of the world does not know how important our science and technology truly are. As a legacy of the ISPRS being in Canada in 2026, we will develop materials that can be used by participants, wherever they are located, to promote the field so that their local media, the public, and decision-makers in their countries can readily understand the importance of what we in our field do.
Attendee experience is an important part of any large event, so we plan a comprehensive social program with many options to allow full enjoyment of what Toronto and the surrounding region have to offer. We look forward to welcoming you to Toronto in 2026!
