GIS Analyst
Full-Time

The City of North Battleford has a GIS Analyst position available in the Engineering, Planning Asset Management & Infrastructure (EPAI) Division. The GIS Analyst primary responsibilities include a wide range of multi-faceted, professional duties in the setup, operation, and support of the City’s Geographic Information System (GIS). Duties will also include coordination of various City public works programs. Providing exceptional customer services to residents and responding to their inquiries is integral.

In this role you will provide GIS Database Creation and Management, GIS services including publishing and maintaining map services and web-based programming, assistance with a variety of engineering related projects and general administration.

 

Qualifications
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience using GIS software, specifically in setting up data sets, geoprocessing, scripting, importing, and exporting data
• Diploma in GIS, Geography, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science, Civil Engineering Technology, or a similar discipline with an emphasis in GIS and other geomatics applications.
• Specialization in GIS is preferred, including advanced ESRI GIS courses.
• Eligibility for certification as a Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP).
• Experience working in a municipal government environment is an asset.
• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver’s License
• Provide a clear satisfactory Criminal Record Check upon hire
