Job Title: Precast Structural Project Coordinator (BIM)
Company: Kassian Dyck & Associates
Location: Calgary, Alberta (In-office, Full Time)
Salary: $60,000 – $90,000 CAD per year + Benefits

About Us

Kassian Dyck & Associates is a Calgary-based structural engineering and design firm with a deep focus on precast concrete and complex building systems. We collaborate with industry leaders on some of the most ambitious structures in North America — including sports venues, architectural landmarks, and large-scale commercial projects. Our team blends deep construction knowledge with modern technology to deliver clarity, precision, and buildable solutions. Whether optimizing reinforcement, customizing Tekla workflows, or visualizing assemblies in Unreal Engine, we believe in building smarter by staying at the forefront of design and fabrication tools.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Project Coordinator with strong skills in precast concrete
systems, Tekla Structures, and structural detailing.
You’ll play a hands-on role in delivering fabrication-ready models and coordinating data across
disciplines and stakeholders. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to advanced tools and
workflows, API integrations, and visualization work in Unreal Engine for rendering, AR/VR, and
presentation materials.
This is a role for someone who understands how buildings go together — and enjoys making that
process smoother, smarter, and more visual.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain and monitor project schedules, timelines, and coordination documentation
• Implement and support BIM standards, best practices, and quality checks
• Coordinate Tekla-based BIM models, shop drawings, and detailing workflows for precast
and structural projects
• Review and manage fabrication-level drawings, including General Arrangement, rebar, embeds, and connection drawings
• Collaborate with engineers, drafters, and fabricators to ensure clarity and constructibility
• Contribute to automation and customization of Tekla workflows using scripts or API integrations
• Assist in visualization and presentation workflows using Unreal Engine (optional but encouraged)

Who You Are

• Diploma or Degree in construction technology or Civil Engineering
• 5+ years experience in structural coordination, detailing, or technical project roles (ideally in precast concrete, steel, or fabrication)
• Advanced proficiency with Tekla Structures
• Strong understanding of concrete structures, rebar detailing, and shop drawing development
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and construction coordination
• Experience communicating with engineers, drafters, and fabricators to resolve technical issues
• Experience with C#, Python, or Tekla API is considered an asset
• Experience with Unreal Engine, 3D rendering and visualization, or VR/AR tools is considered and asset
• Ability to work in office in Calgary

Why Join Us?

• Work on high-profile, technically complex projects across North America
• Be part of a collaborative team that embraces technology
• Use and build custom BIM tools — Tekla, API scripts, Unreal Engine — to push the boundaries of construction and coordination
• Competitive compensation, strong benefits, and real growth potential
• Contribute to a team that values accuracy, innovation, and practical results
