Autodesk Announces 2012 Products for Infrastructure

Autodesk has announced the 2012 release of products for the infrastructure industry.

AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012, which provides intelligent modeling for civil engineering design, now includes Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis 2012, to help civil engineers analyze and design storm and sanitary sewer networks. 

AutoCAD Map 3D 2012, which provides intelligent modeling for infrastructure planning, now includes distribution data models for the gas, water, wastewater, and electric industries.

Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server 2012, which includes all the functionality of Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise and Autodesk Topobase Web, adds a new mobile viewer extension and a GeoREST extension.

Autodesk Infrastructure Design Suite will be available later this year in three editions: Standard, Premium and Ultimate.  The Standard edition includes AutoCAD Map 3D 2012, Autodesk Navisworks Simulate 2012 and AutoCAD.  The Premium edition adds AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 and Autodesk 3ds Max Design.  The Ultimate edition includes all of the software in the Premium edition, with Autodesk Navisworks Manage 2012 instead of Autodesk Navisworks Simulate 2012.

From 1999 to 2001 he was Director of Enterprise Software Development at Autodesk. He received one of ten annual global technology awards in 2004 from Oracle Corporation for technical innovation and leadership in the use of Oracle. Prior to Autodesk Geoff was Director of Product Development at VISION* Solutions. VISION* Solutions is credited with pioneering relational spatial data management, CAD/GIS integration, and long transactions (data versioning) in the utility, communications, and public works industries. Geoff is a frequent speaker at geospatial and utility events around the world including Geospatial World Forum, Where 2.0, MundoGeo Connect (Brazil), Middle East Spatial Geospatial Forum, India Geospatial Forum, Location Intelligence, Asia Geospatial Forum, and GITA events in US, Japan and Australia. Geoff received Speaker Excellence Awards at GITA 2007-2009.
