Autodesk Announces BIM Deployment Plan

After more than two years of development, field validation and implementation, Autodesk has announced the availability of the BIM Deployment Plan: A Practical Framework for Implementing BIM.   Model-based design technology is creating enormous opportunities for the building
industry to improve processes and outcomes, and many organizations
still need guidance on how to navigate the entire
process.  The BIM Deployment Plan is designed to provide a “how-to” guide for engineers, architects and building industry professionals for implementing building information modeling (BIM) on projects.

Tools are provided that can be used by individual organizations on specific projects including

  • BIM support materials for owners, architects, engineers, and contractors
  • Templates to streamline multi-discipline communications
  • Recommendations for roles and responsibilities
  • Best business process examples

The BIM Deployment Plan is available for download.
