The Autodesk Gallery at One Market in San Francisco has got some fascinating exhibits that illustrate the design process that takes a great idea and turns it into a reality. There are more than 20 different exhibits regularly on display that show the innovative work of designers in many disciplines, architecture, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing design. The gallery is now open to the public every Wednesday from 12-5pm.
The Autodesk Gallery is Platinum certified in the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED for Commercial Interiors (LEED-CI) rating system. The Autodesk Gallery was only the second project in the state of California
to earn a Platinum rating for LEED-CI. Design firms Anderson Anderson Architecture and HOK plus general contracting firm DPR Construction worked with Autodesk to renovate the space using an integrated project delivery (see AIA or Autodesk) approach—an emerging business model in the building industry that allows the entire extended team to collaborate and efficiently drive projects toward their best outcomes.
