Back in 2006 I blogged about durians and I seriously strained some friendships in Ottawa by bringing back durian candy from Malaysia. I have had durian ice cream, a durian drink, durian candy, durian chips, but until tonight I have not had someone split open a durian and eaten the flesh right out of the husk.
Tonight Lyn Chua and her husband Jameson took us out to the durian market here in Singapore for dessert. There were not only piles of durians, but there were several different varieties. Here’s our dessert. Of all the ways I have had durian, this is really the best way to have it.
