Map Africa 2010 Broadens

GIS Development, the organizer of Map Africa and other international geospatial conferences, is broadening what has been originally a GIS conference by including vertically focussed seminars and symposia.  This year Map Africa, which is taking place in Cape Town, South Africa, includes

    * Symposium on Geospatial for Utility and Infrastructure
    * Symposium on Geospatial for Land Management
    * Seminar Geospatial for Emergency Management
    * Seminar Geospatial for Mining and Exploration

The conference starts Tuesday (today).  The Geospatial for Utility and Infrastructure Symposium, which takes place Thursday, will be a day long symposium with ten speakers presenting on geospatial applications for infrastructure related topics including town planning, land valuation, roads and highways, electric power, and water and waste water.
