SAIT Geomatics Engineering Technology Club, UoC Geomatics Engineering Students’ Society Support GoGeomatics Expo

Expo 2024

We are pleased to have the backing of two prominent student organizations as we prepare for the 2025 National Geomatics Expo, taking place from November 3-5, 2025, at the Big Four Roadhouse in Calgary.

The SAIT Geomatics Engineering Technology (GNT) Club and the Geomatics Engineering Students’ Society (GESS) recognize the Expo as an important platform for their students to engage with the geospatial industry and further their professional development. Here is their statements of support.

GNT Club Support Statement

GESS is committed to supporting the academic and professional growth of geomatics students and industries. As a student-run organization, we strive to create meaningful opportunities for our members to connect with industry, expand their knowledge, and engage with the broader geomatics community.

“We are proud to support initiatives that enhance student learning, foster leadership development, and showcase the diverse applications of geomatics. Through networking events, industry partnerships, and technical workshops, we provide students with the tools and experiences necessary to thrive in their careers. Our goal is to bridge the gap between academia and industry, ensuring that our members graduate with the skills and connections needed to succeed.

“The University of Calgary Geomatics program is one of the top programs in Canada, producing graduates who excel in various fields such as surveying, remote sensing, GIS, and navigation. GESS is dedicated to enriching the student experience through academic, social, and professional development initiatives. By participating in industry events, we gain valuable exposure to emerging trends and innovations in the field, further solidifying our role as future leaders in geomatics.”
