The GoGeomatics Expo 2025 returns to Calgary from November 3-5, bringing Canada’s geomatics and geospatial communities together for three days of national dialogue, networking, and collaboration.
One of the cornerstone tracks this year is “What is the Future of Surveying in Canada?”, a program designed for practicing surveyors, geomatics technologists, and survey-driven businesses. The sessions will dig into profitability and practice management, procurement and standards, field-to-finish workflows, reality capture and SLAM, legal and cadastral updates, SUE integration, safety and QA, and the evolving tech stack behind faster, defensible deliverables.
Why it matters
Surveying sits at the core of Canada’s geomatics sector, bringing the built and natural world into focus. Yet the profession is in transition. Workforce shortages, regulatory reform, and rapid technological advancements are reshaping how surveyors work and deliver value.
This program provides a platform to address those changes directly. Attendees can expect practical talks, case studies, and panels that offer actionable insights, directly applicable to crews, project managers, and clients.
