When Geospatial Matters to Canada This Is Where It Happens

A Call to Shape GeoIgnite 2026

Plenary main Stage GeoIgnite 2025

GeoIgnite 2026 is Canada’s national forum for geospatial leadership. For the last 7 years, it has convened senior leaders from government, industry, academia, and standards organizations to address the strategic issues shaping Canada’s geospatial future. As we prepare for GeoIgnite 2026, taking place in Ottawa in May, we are inviting speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, industry leaders, academics, and government departments to participate in building the program and contributing to a national conversation that is central to Canada’s resilience, security, and long term prosperity.

Call for Speakers

We are inviting speaker proposals aligned with GeoIgnite’s 2026 themes, which reflect Canada’s priorities in a rapidly changing global context. These themes include earth observation and space, geospatial intelligence and national security, digital twins and infrastructure resilience, open standards and interoperability, data governance and digital sovereignty, and the role of geospatial information in climate adaptation and public policy.

We are seeking speakers from government, industry, and academia who can offer experience, perspective, and insight drawn from real world applications of geospatial information in policy, research, and operations. Contributions that address governance, collaboration, education, and long term capacity building are strongly encouraged.

Call for Sponsors and Exhibitors

PACGEO Sponsors of GeoIgnite

GeoIgnite offers sponsors and exhibitors direct engagement with a senior and influential audience that includes decision makers, policy leaders, researchers, and technical experts from across Canada’s geospatial ecosystem. Participation positions organizations as contributors to national dialogue, supporting informed discussion and engaging with those shaping geospatial policy, investment, and implementation.

An Invitation to Government Departments and Agencies

GeoIgnite provides a vendor neutral forum where federal, provincial, municipal, and Indigenous governments can share priorities, present operational challenges, and engage directly with industry, academia, and civil society. Participation allows government departments and agencies to communicate needs, invite informed input, and explore practical responses with the organizations and professionals that design, deliver, and sustain Canada’s geospatial capabilities. GeoIgnite reflects the geospatial sector as an interconnected ecosystem, aligning public sector objectives with industry expertise, research, and innovation in support of sovereignty, security, and resilience.

Building GeoIgnite Together

GeoIgnite is built through leadership and collaboration. Its strength comes from the individuals and organizations who contribute their insight, experience, and commitment to advancing Canada’s geospatial community. If you have a perspective to share, conduct research, develop policy, or support implementation, I invite you to take part. Information on speaking opportunities, sponsorships, and exhibitor participation is available at geoignite.ca.
