In a couple weeks, GoGeomatics and its incredible group of volunteers will welcome newcomers and returning attendees to these fun networking events. These socials provide a unique opportunity for students and working professionals to connect, learn and exchange ideas.

This year’s Back To School Social in Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia is beginning with a panel discussion in the COGS auditorium. Geomatics professionals including, Jonathan Murphy, Nicole Caissie, Ted McKinnon and Tim Webster will discuss the state of the industry, new technologies, future trends and careers in geomatics.

Calgary students are encouraged to attend the GeoIgnite Career Fair from November 6-7, 2023 where there will be even more opportunities to network! Many great organizations will be recruiting and giving talks about careers in geomatics. As with the Back To School Social events, the career fair is free to attend.
