CAG Elections 2021 – Call for Nominations.

The Canadian Association of Geographers (CAG) are inviting members to provide nominations for their 2021 executives. The positions to be filled are vice president, CAG councilor (two positions), and student councilor. The vice president position is a one-year term which would start in 2021 and graduate to the President’s role till 2024. The CAG councilor’s term runs for 3 years till 2024 while the student councilors’ term is a 2-year term till the end of 2023. The selected executives would participate in all business of the executive and attend all annual meetings.

Requirements for Nomination:

Nominated candidates must be current members of the CAG, and application must include signed forms by two other CAG members as well as a short bio of no more than 350 words. The bio should include information like current position, Affiliation, Academic qualifications/degrees, memberships, Field of Interest, Research interests, Service to the profession and to the CAG.

The deadline for nominations is January 31, 2021, and the election will hold in February.
