Call for Public Good Program Chair: Shape the Future at Expo 2025!

Are you passionate about leveraging geomatics for the public good? Join us as the Chair of the Public Good Program for Canada’s National Geomatics Expo 2025. This is a volunteer opportunity (with a preference for Alberta residents) to lead and shape programming focused on using geospatial technologies for community welfare, sustainability, and disaster resilience.

As the Public Good Program Chair, you will:

  • Collaborate with experts and stakeholders to create an inspiring program showcasing how geomatics can drive public good in areas like climate resilience, disaster management, and urban planning.
  • MC your sessions, making this a hands-on and impactful experience.
  • Join the Expo Advisory Committee to influence the overall direction and content of the Expo.

We are looking for individuals with:

  • Experience or interest in using geomatics to advance social and environmental initiatives.
  • A passion for community-focused innovation.
  • Fresh ideas and diverse perspectives — we believe diversity strengthens our impact.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, industries, and levels of experience. Submit a brief statement outlining your relevant experience and interest in the role to [email protected].

If you believe in the power of geomatics to make a positive impact, we want to hear from you!
