CIG: Free Conservation GIS Workshop – St. John’s, Newfoundland

The Canadian Institution of Geomatics is pleased to announce a one day Conservation GIS Workshop to be held on St. John’s campus of Memorial University. The event will be a mix of lectures, exercises, discussion and networking.
The workshop is free and open to all including those working with NGOs, government, industry and academia, as well as students, but we think the workshop might especially be of interest to those who:
- Want to better understand how GIS can be used for a variety of conservation-related work
- Already use GIS but want to learn more
- Are from other GIS backgrounds, but moving into the conservation field
