Geomatics Atlantic 2016: Call for Presentations By June 30th

Call for Presentations

It gives me great pleasure to announce that the Canadian Institute of Geomatics – New Brunswick Branch will be hosting Geomatics Atlantic 2016. The event will take place September 26th to September 28th at the Delta Fredericton in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Geomatics Atlantic is the premiere and largest annual geomatics conference and trade show in Atlantic Canada.

At this time, we would like to invite interested parties to submit proposals for presentations for the Geomatics Atlantic 2013 conference.

Presentation proposals must include:

  • Presentation title and author’s name;
  • Contact information, including title, employer, address, telephone, fax and e-mail;
  • Identification of primary speaker where different from the author or where there are multiple speakers;
  • Abstract (no more than 300 words);
  • Author’s biographical information (no more than 150 words); and
  • List of any other publications / venues where the paper / presentation may have been previously published / presented.

All abstract submissions must be made by e-mail to Mike Wolfe at  Mike.Wolfe@gnb.ca

By submitting an abstract, the author agrees to its publication in the conference program and on the conference web site, if it is accepted. Proposals received will be assessed and selected authors / presenters will be invited to present their presentation at Geomatics Atlantic 2016.

Each presentation will be allotted 30 minutes total in the conference schedule; 20 minutes for the presentation and 10 minutes for questions. All documentation must be submitted in MS Power Point, MS Word or Adobe PDF formats. By submitting a presentation, the author(s) agrees to its publication as part of the Geomatics Atlantic 2016 proceedings.

Deadlines

  • Submission of Proposal: June 30, 2016
  • Notification of Acceptance: July 30, 2016
  • Submission of Final Presentation: August 30, 2016

A complimentary conference registration will be extended to the primary speaker for each presentation selected.

Geomatics Atlantic 2016 will bring together academics, practitioners, vendors, and policy makers from the Geomatics community in an informative and productive three-day event under the theme of Decision Support for a Changing World. With pre-conference workshops, a concurrent conference and exhibition, as well as a social event, attendees will enjoy both technical sessions and networking opportunities, while enjoying the beautiful City of Fredericton along the majestic Saint John River.
