CAREER OPPORTUNITY: BCLS – Professional Land Surveyor
STATUS: FULL TIME
LOCATION: KAMLOOPS
SALARY: $105,000-$145,000 ANNUALLY
Underhill Geomatics is a progressive land surveying firm with offices in Fort St. John, Kamloops, Burnaby,
Comox, and Whitehorse. Operating since 1913, Underhill continues to provide technologically advanced,
flexible, and efficient geospatial solutions for all our clients’ needs within British Columbia, Yukon,
Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
Underhill Geomatics is seeking British Columbia Land Surveyor in good standing with the ABCLS.
A Canada Land Surveyor Commission in good standing will be considered an asset.
We provide comprehensive geomatics services to clients in Kamloops and the surrounding areas. Our team
has the privilege of partnering with a wide range of valued clients on projects of all sizes, from small-scale
assignments to large, complex developments. Our expertise spans multiple survey disciplines, including
land development, strata and air space surveys, topographic surveys, First Nations land surveys,
engineering and infrastructure surveys, as well as industrial, mining, precision, and monitoring surveys.
Duties include:
• Project management
• Survey calculations
• Team coordination
• Preparing proposals and contracts
• Provide guidance and training to team
• Business development
• Developing plans and reports
• Following and upholding Underhill safety policies
Requirements:
• BC Land Surveying Commission
• Proven experience in managing survey projects
• Effective communications skills, both verbal and written English
• Valid driver’s license required and willingness to travel to remote projects
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Physical requirement to work outdoors in diverse weather
