We are looking for a Cadastral GIS Analyst to help grow our business and contribute to our future.
As a Cadastral GIS Analyst, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining ISC’s cadastral and GIS data systems by processing legal survey plans, updating land descriptions, and ensuring data accuracy through quality control and spatial improvement processes. You will provide expert GIS support, including training, application assistance, and customer issue resolution. Reporting to the Operations Manager, GIS & Surveys other highlights include:
- Navigate, manipulate and validate the LAND Integrated Cadastral Survey Plan Processing system (Cadastral Editing System, PITS, DMZ (GIS and titles database interface) to process incoming legal survey plans and to perform tie code/legal land description change requests processing.
- Proactively and reactively maintain the ISDB via the execution and development of quality control processes and the development and execution of the spatial accuracy improvement process.
- Perform ISC Acceptance Testing on GIS and GIS related LAND applications and processes
- Administrate GIS training, and provide GIS data and application support.
- Provide expert ISC related GIS business knowledge and process support.
- Participate in geospatial enterprise release planning in regards to ‘GIS Data’ process development and enhancements
- Investigate, develop and execute low system impact GIS desktop solutions. Deliver data and process solutions to internal and external clients.
- Support GIS related customer support calls and process parcel tie requests – internal and external.
What you’ll need:
- A technical diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, GIS or Engineering Design and Drafting Technology and experience working in a technical setting OR an equivalent combination of education and experience related to legal survey work, GIS and/or digital mapping.
- Solid understanding of surveying technologies and methodologies
- Ability to read and interpret survey plans and understand their relationship to the current cadastral data
- Thorough understanding of ESRI’s full ArcGIS Desktop suite obtained through ESRI certification or through a reputable Advanced Diploma in GIS.
