About the Spatial Data Science Certificate

Spatial data science is one of the world’s fastest growing areas of technology. Mount Royal’s post-bachelor’s certificate in Spatial Data Science provides students with valuable hands-on experience and marketable skills.

The certificate provides a foundation in how to manage, understand, analyze, apply and visualize data using geospatial tools and applications critical to location-based solutions. The program draws from the disciplines of computing, data science and geography. Students use advanced software tools and innovative data science techniques to discover data insights in real-world applications.

MRU at the Expo

Mount Royal University will host a booth to showcase their Spatial Data Science Certificate program, promote student opportunities, and discuss potential industry collaborations. Faculty will be attending the sessions and will participate in the Canadian Geomatics and Geospatial Advisory Forum. The current Spatial Data Science students will also be attending, encouraged to critically reflect on presentations and interact with exhibitors, connecting the conference experience to their curriculum, ensuring both academic and professional growth.
