Nominations open for Service to Ontario Geography Award 2021

CAGONT stands for the Canadian Association of Geographers Ontario Division. The purpose of CAGONT is to support the objectives of the Canadian Association of Geographers (CAG) in the encouragement of geographic study, teaching, research and application, especially in Ontario. The Service to Ontario Geography Award recognizes an individual’s significant and lasting contribution to scholarship, teaching or broader service to geography in Ontario.

Eligibility

To be Eligible, Nominees must be based out of Ontario and may come from academia, the public or private sector.

Nomination

Nominees will be evaluated by the CAGONT Executive. Please send nominations by 1st November, 2021 (emailed nominations only) and letters of support to: The CAGONT Vice President Joseph Aversa, [email protected]. For more details please refer to this document .

Award recipients will be presented with a certificate at the CAGONT Annual Meeting, which will be hosted on-line by the University of Western Ontario (Western) on November 12-13, 2021. CAGONT 2021 welcomes Geographers from all areas of the discipline and individuals at all career stages. Conference participation is free this year.
