2018 Energy Prospectors Expo (EPEX) will be held May 14-15 London, Ontario

Are you a GIS professional working or aiming to work in the Natural Resources Sector? This year’s Energy Prospectors Expo (EPEX) will be held May 14-15 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in London, Ontario and will offer networking and scholarship opportunities to young professionals and students.

EPEX 2018 will consist of a full day of presentations and workshops from experts in Ontario’s energy industry all pertaining to Generating Collaborative Energy, followed by a networking event at London Brewing Co-Op.

The OGSR Library will be also be hosting a student poster competition at the conference. There will be the opportunity for graduate and undergraduate students to enter a poster session that will allow them to showcase their current research pertaining to geography, GIS, earth sciences and energy development. This is a great opportunity to win a scholarship prize as well as network with potential employers! Awards will be given to the top submissions, with scholarships up to $400.

A preliminary schedule of the conference is also available online and will include a workshop related to 3D geological mapping in southwestern Ontario.
