Call for Canadian Cartographers to Exhibit Their Work at ICC 2025

Vancouver, B.C. –ICC 2025 The upcoming International Cartographic Conference (ICC 2025) will be hosted in Vancouver August 18–22, 2025. Canada is calling on cartographers and map enthusiasts in the country to submit their best map products to be part of the prestigious International Map Exhibition and Competition. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase Canadian expertise in cartography on the global stage.

Submissions are invited for both digital and non-digital cartographic products created since August 2023 (the last ICC in Cape Town, South Africa). The exhibition will be held entirely in-person, with digital products displayed as posters and featuring QR codes for easy access by conference attendees.

Eligible categories for submission include:

  • Maps – digital and non-digital
  • Charts – digital and non-digital, including navigational accessories
  • Atlases – digital and non-digital
  • Educational cartographic products – digital and non-digital
  • Physical cartographic products – tactile maps, globes, 3D reliefs, etc.
  • Digital cartographic products and services – online (web-based) products and services, geoportals, etc.

The International Cartographic Association (ICA) will award prizes for the best submissions in each category (excluding category 6), and there will also be a second award determined by a vote from conference attendees.

This is a fantastic chance to celebrate Canada’s contributions to the world of cartography and highlight the innovative and diverse work being done across the country.

The 32nd International Cartographic Conference will take place in Vancouver, Canada, 18–22 August 2025. The conference theme is “Mapping the Future: Innovation, Inclusion, and Sustainability”.
